New online portal launched for the High-Tech Strategy
Enlarge image The German Government’s 2020 High-Tech Strategy unites the various strands of the Government’s activities in research and innovation and brings together the most important players in science and industry to transform knowledge and ideas into innovation as swiftly as possible. Various key technologies and cross-sectoral issues together help address overarching objectives facing society as a whole, in climate change and energy, health, mobility, communications and security. These objectives are specified and implemented through ten selected forward-looking projects.
“Ideas. Innovation. Prosperity.” The High-Tech Strategy motto is explained and elaborated on the Government’s interesting, informative and newly renovated portal www.hightech-strategie.de The new website provides fascinating insights into the work being done to implement each of the projects. It also looks at key questions for Germany as an innovating country, asking, for example, what a sustainable strategy for the future might look like. What potential is there in the information and communications technology of the future? Are China and Germany simply two different countries following two different models? Where does Germany stand relative to the rest of the world?
